[Tutorial] How to Enable FaceTime on iPad

FaceTime for iPad is probably one of the most missed features by the iPhone/iPod users. It certainly would have been a better experience if the iPad offered a front-facing camera and FaceTime. That because of the user-experience that the 10" screen provides over the the iPhone’s 3.5".

You can now solve this problem with a hack named "Intell". This, of course, is a partial fix because of the hardware limitations of the iPad (no front-facing camera) but the other party will still be able to hear you.

I personally loved the hack because it doesn’t just enable FaceTime on iPad but makes it iPad optimized. Hence the video quality is very good.

Disclaimer: This guide is for testing & educational purposes only. I’m not responsible for any loss of important data or malfunctioning of your iPad.

Things Needed: You will need to copy the following folders from your iPhone 4 or iPod Touch 4 firmware to your Jailbroken iPad running 4.2.1 (either untethered or tethered)

Conference.framework, IMCore.framework MobilePhone.app, ConferenceRegistrationSettings.bundle, AVFoundation.framework, Celestial.framework, UISounds

Step 1: SSH to your iPad. Login instructions for SSH can be found below.

Cyberduck

Server: The IP address of your iPad. Settings –> WiFi –>
Username: root
Password: alpine
Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)

WinSCP

Hostname: The IP address of your iPad. Setting –> WiFi –>
User name: root
Password: alpine
Protocol: SCP

Step 2: Rename Conference.framework to ConferenceiPad.framework and IMCore.framework toIMCoreiPad.framework

Step 3: Upload the Conference.framework and IMCore.frameworks from the iPod Touch 4 or iPhone 4 to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/

Step 4: Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ and download theK48AP.plist for editing.

Step 5: Add the following code under the capabilities array and upload the modified version toSpringBoard.app on the iPad replacing the unmodified version

Step 6: Upload the ConferenceRegistrationSettings.bundle from the iDevice 4 to /System/Library/PreferenceBundles/

Step 7: Navigate to System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/K48/ and renameAVCaptureSession.plist to AVCaptureSession.bak2

Step 8: Upload the AVCaptureSession.plist from the iPod Touch 4 /System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N81/ or/System/Library/Frameworks/AVFoundation.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4

Step 9: Navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/K48/ and renameAVCapture.plist to AVCapture.bak2

Step 10: Upload the AVCapture.plist from the iPod Touch 4/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N81/ or /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework/N90/ from the iPhone 4

Step 11: To get the sounds woking navigate to /System/Library/Audio/UISounds/ and putvc~ended.caf, vc~invitation-accepted.caf, and vc~ringing.caf from the iDevice 4 into the iPad’s UISounds folder.

Step 12: Navigate to /Applications/Preferences.app/ and download the Settings.plist

Step 13: Remove the requieredCapabilites key from item number 26, save, then replace the version on the iPad with modified version.

Step 14: Edit the info.plist in the MobilePhone.app that is from the iDevice 4. ChangeCFBundleDisplayName~ipod to CFBundleDisplayName~ipad, CFBundleIconFiles~ipod toCFBundleIconFiles~ipad, CFBundleURLTypes~ipod to CFBundleURLTypes~ipad,UILaunchImageFile~ipod to UILaunchImageFile~ipad, and add a 2 to the UIDeivceFamily array

Step 15: Replace the Default~ipod.png with this.

Step 16: Navigate to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.Framework/ and renamebottombarknobgreen.png to bottombarknobgreenT.png

Step 17: Reboot and enjoy FaceTime

On the evening before the launch of the Verizon iPhone, the embargo for early review units has been lifted. This early set of reviews provides a look at the early verdict on the Verizon iPhone. Reviews and some highlights are listed here.

- "With a few minor variations, it looks, feels, and works just like the AT&T iPhone 4"

Hang on. SE Brazil says Gingerbread coming to Xperia X10 in October

Okay take this with a huge pinch of salt, but Brazilian consumer complaint site Reclame Aqui, has seen Sony Ericsson Brazil respond to one person’s complaints on the Xperia X10 with a startling revelation. The official response to the person’s complaints on the lack of updates goes on to say that whilst Android 2.2 (Froyo) will not be released, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) will instead release in October 2011.

Whilst we would like to believe in any glimmer of hope, we were told in no uncertain terms that there would not be any more updates to the Android firmware for the Xperia X10 family, Android 2.1 was as good as it got (at least officially). We have also seen satellite offices make contradictory statements in the past that are retracted shortly after. Unfortunately I suspect this will be one of these occasions. We’d love to be proven wrong though…

How to Open a Locked Suitcase without Leaving a Trace

Whether you've lost the key to your own suitcase and need to get it open in a hurry or you're trying to plant some contraband in your dodgy roommate's bag, this clever hack has to be seen to be believed.

Watch the video above to see how a pen can be turned into a suitcase cracking tool. In the demonstration they use a ballpoint pen to exert pressure on the zipper of a suitcase. The pressure causes the teeth to separate, effectively opening the suitcase.

The secret sauce in this hack of dubious ethics, however, isn't the pen (you could always slice a suitcase open with a knife if you wanted in that badly after all) but in the zipper mechanism itself. Zippers are self healing and if you run the zipper pull (still securely locked to the other pull, we might add) along the zipper track you'll reseal the suitcase as though you were never there.

Geohot To Release Untethered Jailbreak After 2.10.11 (Verizon iPhone 4 Launch) ?

Continuing the jailbreak theme today comes news that jailbreak supremo MuscleNerd has claimed that Geohot might release a new untethered jailbreak in the coming weeks.

The news comes after another iPhone developer and hacker Pod2G informed the world that a new vulnerability has been discovered for iOS and that GreenPois0n is being actively worked on as it is clear that Apple has blocked GreenPois0n in its upcoming version of iOS – version 4.3.
Reading MuscleNerd’s comments it appears we could be getting at least one new untethered jailbreak for at least some devices sooner rather than later.

As our illustrious leader @TaimurAsad points out, the date of February 10th is no coincidence – that’s when the Verizon iPhone finally lands in stores. New owners looking for a jailbreak on day 1 could be in luck!

Of course this is still unconfirmed by Geohot himself, so fingers crossed. Hopefully he can pull himself away from all that Sony drama going on in the PlayStation jailbreak scene to help us out in iLand!

Just yesterday we saw a video demonstrating the new pinch-to-zoom update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Well now Sony Ericsson Japan has officially notified users that this update will hit NTT DoCoMo on 19th January through PC Companion and 20th January OTA.

They have also confirmed that the new dual-touch features will work in the browser, Google Maps, Office Suite and Moxier. SE can’t confirm that it will work in all third-party apps. Hopefully, this news means that the update should also start hitting other regions imminently. Watch this space.

Windows Phone 7 ROM (Unofficial) for HTC HD2 Now Available for Download [Video]

Microsoft and HTC made it official that the HTC HD2 won’t be getting the Windows Phone 7upgrade although the hardware supports it. But that didn’t stop the hacking community from dumping a Windows Phone 7 ROM on the HD2, yes you read that right! You can now boot Windows Phone 7 on your HD2 alongside Windows Mobile 6.5, Ubuntu, MeeGo, Android 2.2 Froyo or Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The unofficial Windows Phone 7 ROM comes to us in courtesy of the Dark Forces Team, but the downside about the whole deal is; Live services don’t work, in other words you don’t have access to pretty much everything that involves using your Live ID, but we have our fingers crossed that in the future this issue will be fixed.

Sony Ericsson admits Xperia X10 mistakes; says 2011 will be better

Sony Ericsson has openly admitted that their first foray into Android was not up to scratch. Steve Walker, global head of marketing for Sony Ericsson, said that “the first generation of handsets in our portfolio was about getting the capability out there,” whilst speaking to Pocket-Lint.He went on to say that when they started designing the handsets back in 2010, nobody really knew how the smartphone market would grow and what would be important for customers. “It’s important to remember that 2010 was the first year for mass market Android handsets. Yes there had been one or two things out from HTC previously, but when we started to design our 2010 handsets in 2008, nobody really knew the dynamics of the Android smartphone market or even what the smartphone market was going to be,” said Walker.

He also went on to say that releasing the Xperia X10 and X10 mini handsets was a huge learning curve for the company, but the company is now much stronger for it. “If we hadn’t done what we did with the X10 and the X10 minis we wouldn’t have been able to do what we’ve done here today,” said Walker. “Last year we didn’t anticipate the strength of feeling that consumers would have towards the Android release. And again that was a learning experience of the first year of mass market Android smartphones”....

Walker was understandably quite buoyant about the 2011 line up. “As we do every year, we’ve taken those learnings and applied them to the new products in the new portfolio. We do think we’ve taken a big step forward for 2011. What we think is different in 2011 is that consumer attention is swinging back to hardware once more. That’s not to say people aren’t focused on software, but that they are a little more in balance now.” Let’s just hope for the company’s sake that they really have learned from their mistakes, let’s also hope that the current Xperia range isn’t completely abandoned after the next multi-touch firmware update.

MetroPCS alleged to be violating net neutrality rules with new LTE plans

Well, it looks like the fine print in MetroPCS' new LTE pricing plans is causing more than just some confusion among MetroPCS customers -- as CNET reports, it's now also drawn the ire of several public interest groups, who allege that the carrier is violating the FCC's new net neutrality rules. For those not familiar with the new plans, they include a $40 plan for unlimited web browsing plus YouTube, and a $50 plan that adds 1GB of "additional data access" that covers things not considered to be "web browsing" by MetoPCS -- Netflix, Skype, etc. That, in effect, creates two different types of "data," and leaves MetroPCS as the only voice deciding what gets included in one plan and not the other. For its part, MetroPCS insists that its "new rate plans comply with the FCC's new rules on mobile open Internet," and that it is simply offering "increased consumer choice" by offering different rate plans.

Verizon iPhone has relocated buttons, might require new cases

The leaks suggested that the Verizon iPhone would have have slightly relocated buttons, and it's true -- as you can see in the photo above, the newly revised CDMA antenna notch has pushed the volume and mute controls down a hair from GSM version. That means a lot of cases -- Apple's current bumpers included -- won't fit properly on the Verizon version, although many third-party cases feature an open slot for the buttons that might still work. Either way, we'd bet Apple and third-party manufacturers are scrambling to have compatible cases in stores before the February 10th launch date -- just make sure to check yours first if you're switching from AT&T.

iGotYa - a great alternative solution to Find My iPhone

Losing your valuable iPhone or iPod touch sure isn’t very fun. iGotYa is a great alternative solution to Find My iPhone in order to find out exactly who took your iPhone and where they’re located.

Basically iGotYa works with your standard native iOS passcode lock system. After setting up your information in Settings, if your passcode is being tampered with on the lockscreen, it will automatically snap a picture of the person who is trying to use or steal it and sends the picture along with the GPS location to your designated email address. Obviously, iGotYa will require Wi-Fi or 3G to send this information to you. However, in my opinion, this is way smarter than Apple’s Find My iPhone service. If you’re near a Wi-Fi connection (let’s say your school or workplace) it’ll be a lot easier to find the person associated with the crime. Not mentioning how nobody would know as the snapshot is taken silently.

Another great feature of iGotYa is the "security mode". This mode allows access to your device after 2 attempts, regardless of what they put in as the passcode. This might sound stupid, but it’s extremely brilliant in ways to keep the person who took your phone from restoring the device, while still taking pictures of them every time you’re on 3G or close to a Wi-Fi connection.

Sony Ericsson names Xperia Arc CPU, dubs Android 2.4 appearance a 'misconfiguration'

The Xperia Arc is one pretty slice of Gingerbread, don't you think? We certainly did when we got the chance to handle one for ourselves at CES, but today we're less concerned with its exterior and more interested in what lies beneath. The 1GHz processor we knew about already has been specified as aQualcomm MSM8255 and will be joined in the good fight against sluggish performance by an Adreno 205 graphics chip. On the software front, that random sighting of an Arc with Android 2.4 has been put down as a simple "misconfiguration" by Sony Ericsson, exploding a million conspiracy theories around the web. One encouraging note here is that SE (kinda) acknowledges its inglorious record with Android updates and promises recent changes have put it in "a good position to make sure that Xperia Arc will get later versions in a timely manner." We'll believe it when you make it, Sony.

So recently, I wanted to have the stock android status bar on my phone... that didnt happend until calum from XDA Developers helped the cause.

He succesfully moded the clock to be black... so that we can actually see the clock on the white background of the stock Android Status Bar...

So today, I re-moded the Framework-res.apk to have HIGH QUALITY icons (HDPI icons)...THAT LOOKS exactly the same than STOCK ANDROID I tested it, works flawless.

Theeedy from XDA Developers have moded the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 camera app from

iPad Second Generation Patents

Patently Apple reports on some new patent applications that appeared in China's patent database this week. One diagram (above) clearly shows an Apple iPad with dual 30pin dock connectors allowing both landscape and portrait docking orientations. While the site seems to think this represents the next iPad, we feel it most likely represents existing designs that never made it into the current iPad. While the distinction may be subtle, it could mean that Apple explicitly decided against a dual dock design and we won't ever be seeing it a future model.

In fact, dual dock connectors were strongly rumored for the first generation iPad by iLounge.

According to the site, the tablet will have two dock connectors to allow the device to be docked in either portrait or landscape orientations. This should allow the device some flexibility when docking with 3rd party accessories, avoiding awkward cable positioning.
Patently Apple also identifies the top sensor as a possible front-facing camera, though it seems more likely to represent the iPad's ambient light sensor which is located in that spot.

HP Slate Prototype gets video Reviewed

The owner, who goes by the name x313xkillax on YouTube, is back with over eight more minutes of footage, including the packaging. According to the back of the box of this self-proclaimed business model, here's the official specs we're looking at: a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 with GMA500 and Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator, 8.9-inch WSVGA screen, 2GB DDR2 RAM, about 60GB storage capacity, Windows 7 Home Premium, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, SD card reader, and a 2-Cell 30WHr Lithium-ion Polymer battery. There are two cameras here, one in front and one in rear.

As shown via MS Paint, the screen can detect at least four fingers at a time. The browser is a bit laggy but does do pinch-to-zoom -- again, he calls it a prototype, so it may be better in the final production model. Also in the packaging? A handy dock for keeping your Slate comfy and upright -- it's even got kickstand, two USBs, and HDMI out.

That's right folks, the new iPod Touch 4 has only 256 Mb of ram and not 512 Mb like expected. It's got the same amount than the iPhone 3GS and iPad. Disappointing it is, but it's to keep the low selling cost of the iPod Touch 4. The news was confirmed by iFixit's Kyle Wiens.

The key marking of interest on the A4 processor package is K4X2G643GE. This is identical to the marking found on the iPad processor, but different from the iPhone 4 processor.

More Claims of Smaller, Square iPod Nano Next Week, Along With Possible 3G iPod Touch and iLife

AppleInsider offers new claims of a significant redesign of the iPod nano scheduled for release at next week's media event, lending additional weight to the square cases and earlier rumors associated with the device.

People familiar with the matter indicated that the size and shape of the device, revealed this week through photos of third-party cases, will be more akin to the iPod shuffle than the current-generation iPod nano. Even with this small size, however, it is expected to have a traditional iPod dock connector, allowing compatibility with the existing iPod accessory ecosystem.

The new iPod nano is said to utilize a tiny 3cm-by-3cm display that was revealed in its bare form as unknown Apple-branded component earlier this summer. For comparison, the second-generation iPod nano had a screen that was about 3cm by 2.5cm.

In addition to the iPod nano, the report notes that Apple has been toying with plans to release a version of the iPod touch offering 3G cellular data access. The company is said to have begun seriously considering the idea after seeing the success of the 3G-capable version of the iPad released earlier this year, and prototypes of 3G-capable iPod touches are claimed to be in existence.

Finally, rumors of an update to Apple's iLife suite persist, with today's report suggesting that a portion of next week's media event might be devoted to a new version of Apple's multimedia suite. With Apple having moved to an approximately 18-month release cycle over the last few versions of iLife and the current version having been released in early 2009, an update in the near future would be a reasonable guess. One claim from late last month predicted an August 17th release for "iLife '11", which is rumored to see the discontinuation of iDVD, a significant revamp of iWeb, and a new "mystery" application. The claimed release did not, however, occur on the predicted date.

Leaked iPod Touch and Nano case suggests smaller iPod Nano without click-wheel

iLounge points to a Chinese site showing cases purportedly for Apple's next-generation iPod nano and iPod touch models. The cases come from Chinese case manufacturer X-Doria.

Most interestingly, the iPod nano cases appear to be designed for a device roughly square in shape, suggesting that Apple's redesigned iPod nano could transition away from the widescreen display used in the current generation to a square touch-enabled display. The move would seem to be an odd choice, however, given that Apple specifically widened the device's display in the last revision to allow for true widescreen aspect ratios to go along with the device's integrated video camera.

The nano 6G case features an open strip on the rear - perhaps for a camera or built-in clip - as well as what appear to be volume buttons and a larger button on the top side while a Dock Connector and headphone port are along the bottom.

The redesign would also bring the iPod nano much closer in size to the iPod shuffle, and it is unclear what that device's future might be within that context.

Earlier today, analyst Shaw Wu claimed that Apple has been sourcing parts for a smaller iPod nano that would lack a traditional click wheel, and these case designs obviously seem to match that assertion.

The claimed next-generation iPod touch cases suggest little beyond that revealed in another purported case leaked earlier this month. Based on the cases in circulation, the new iPod touch is expected to gain a video camera with flash in the upper left corner of the rear of the device, as in the iPhone. The cases also suggest that the new iPod touch will retain the tapered back shell of the current design rather than moving to the flat back seen in the iPhone 4.

Neither of the claimed iPod touch cases include a cover for the front of the device, so there is no evidence regarding a front-facing camera. Several part leaks have, however, shown a small hole centered on the front panel of the device, presumably for just such a camera.

iPod Touch 4th Gen & iPod Nano News

iLounge provides some more details about the upcoming iPod Touch and iPod Nano revisions coming from Apple next week. According to the site, the iPod Touch will contain a back-side camera, microphone and a new shape to the back.

Think of the top of a MacBook Pro, only smaller, which is to say flat rather than curved at the center—closer to the look of the first-generation iPod touch’s back, only with modifications.

In addition, iLounge is also hearing that the small touchscreen device that we've been seeing hints of will be thought of as an iPod Nano rather than a Shuffle -- though iLounge admits "it doesn't make much sense" to them at this point.

Apple will be hosting a media event at 10 am Pacific time on September 1st.

Android 2.2, WCDMA 3G, 802.11n WiFi, a 16:10 screen ratio, a front-facing camera "dedicated to video calling," SDHC memory expandability, and a DMB tuner for those TV-crazy Koreans are all listed on the spec sheet, but you'll be wanting to see the Galaxy Tab's UI in motion. It really looks silky smooth and should give the iPad cause for concern. Xperia X10's Android 2.1 Update to Boost Speed and Performance

Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson plans on proving that its Android-based Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 can easily become one of the fastest mobile phones on the market. The phone, announced officially during the fourth quarter of the last year, is set to receive a software update sometime in the third quarter of the ongoing year, a move that would greatly enhance the experience it can offer to users, it seems.

According to a recent article on Mobile News, Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland marketing director David Hilton said recently that the upcoming upgrade for the device should make it faster than some of the most popular Android-based devices on the market, including the HTC Desire. The high-end handset from the Taiwan-based mobile phone maker landed on shelves in April, about the same time as the Xperia X10, which was pushed back a few months.

“There will be a software update for the X10 in the next couple of weeks, which is optimising the software so the phone works faster. The X10 will be faster than the Desire in most if not all functions of the phone. We intend to go out to the sales channels, training and educating people that X10 will be a master phone to use once this update happens. There will also be an Android update on the X10 in Q3, taking it from version 1.6 to 2.1. We’ll continue to look at how we can evolve beyond that,” Hilton reportedly stated.

The news site also reports that his words came in response to allegations that the company would be frustrated by the emergence of highly-popular handsets like the Desire. “Sony Ericsson has become increasingly frustrated at the job HTC is doing with the Desire, which is proving extremely popular,” a Mobile News reports, citing a source close to the handset vendor. When compared to Desire, Xperia X10 has seen slow traction on the market, but the upcoming Android 2.1 update should change that.

Charging the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is easy but sometimes, after installing tones of apps and tones of tweaks and stuffs.... the battery kinda gets lower even tho you charged it to 100%.

Alright, so that's what happened to me:

I Just got my Xperia X10 and I'm super happy. The first thing I did was setting up Timescape, trying out Gapps (Market, Google Maps, Gtalk, etc) then I started to download tones of tweaks and stuffs. Including an Anti-Virus. After all these downloads, it was kinda late and the battery was at 60% so I decided not to charge it for the night.

Then, the next morning:

Took my phone, press the menu button and it was not turning on... So I tuned it on manually, and bam! Battery 5%. So, what caused the 60% battery drain?

1st Step:
Download Advanced Task Killer from the Market

2nd Step:
When it's installed, open it and kill all the unecesary task. This will free your ram and get rid of useless stuffs.

3rd Step:
When you go to bed and don't wanna charge it for the night and you don't want your battery to discharge crazy, do this. Disable 3G connection, Turn off WiFi, Turn off Bluetooth, End Task in Advanced Task Killer, unistall any Antivirus Programs.

4th Step:
If you are not waiting for a call, just turn on Flight Mode, it will do the job.
And finally, lower the brightness, always help :)

For some reason, I wont have the time to write the SE Xperia X10 review. Instead, Ill probably be doing apps review for Android devices. But for the Xperia, I can only say one word: Speed. This thing is so fast compared to my older devices like the Lg Cookie and Apple's iPod Touch. 1000Mhz Snapdragon really speeds things up. In fact, it runs more then 30fps on Neocore's benchmark. PROS: SPEED, great design, awesome hardware, no bugs, 3. 5mm headphone jack and pretty much the hole phone is awesome. CON: Multitouch and HD Video recording only coming in September for the Android 2.1 or 2.2 upgrade. Comes stock with Android 1. 6.

A new picture of an iPod Touch 4G prototype has been found on the web. Is this just a fake photoshop someone did? Well, maybe! Because on this prototype, there is NO front facing camera which is the Facetime Camera which we have seen before with real pictures. On the picture, the "Sleep button seems to be moved to the right just like the iPhone and it has a Camera on the back left just like the iPhone. There is also a Flash. But is this the truth? Or just a sick joke...

Even if it is hard to have a perfect view through the case, it looks like the back is rounded, unlike the one of the new iPhone, and of course, there is a camera and a flash.

This source is very reliable since it is already thanks to it that we were able to predict the camera on the iPod Mini last year.

The camera has been know to be similar to the iPhone 4's on this picture.

HTC Europe director Mark Moons caused quite a stir this morning when he tweeted that the company would begin rolling out Android Froyo updates to devices tomorrow, starting with the Desire, but we wouldn't get too excited yet -- HTC tells us that it's possible a rollout will begin tomorrow, but nothing's finalized yet pending some final testing. Rumor: White iPhone Delay Caused By Light Leakage

The Street (same people who claimed 1.5 years of free service for the iPhone at launch), now claims that the white iPhone delay is caused by light leaking out the edges, sides and back of the white phone.

Their source says that it's because of the glass that Apple can't easily cover up the light leakage,
unlike if it were metal or plastic, where you can just add another coating of material. They also compare it to the Sprint EVO 4G leaking light, meaning that it's not a problem solely in Apple's manufacturing, but it might point again to Apple's pickiness about production quality that they won't let this get out the door.

LG aiming to ship 'a couple' of Windows Phone 7 devices by year-end

The company's not committing to any US carriers just yet (ahem), but LG is already puffing up its chest and talking big about its impending Windows Phone 7 release plans. To date, all we've had to go on was Microsoft's vow of seeing WP7 devices on store shelves before this holiday season, but now Ken Hong, an LG representative in Seoul, has offered a wee bit more insight regarding his company in particular.
To quote: "We have a deep relationship with Microsoft so expect to have a couple [of Windows Phone 7 handsets] by the end of this year." That aligns rather nicely with what we heard ourselves back in Feburary, and given that LG's mobile division has seen some rather unsightly losses in its most recent quarterly earnings, we're guessing the company's more than eager to push out the next big thing.
