HTC Europe director Mark Moons caused quite a stir this morning when he tweeted that the company would begin rolling out Android Froyo updates to devices tomorrow, starting with the Desire, but we wouldn't get too excited yet -- HTC tells us that it's possible a rollout will begin tomorrow, but nothing's finalized yet pending some final testing. We've certainly got our fingers crossed -- and we're sure Desire owners the world over will be hitting that System Updates button nonstop for the next few days.

You were thinking, we did we change from DK2000zx Softwares to TechRemixed... Well, first of all, school is getting busy with projects and stuffs so I won't have much time programming new apps, and stuffs. I can only spare some time posting tech news about Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc but why is there a "Remixed" in TechRemixed. That's because

New Mac Pro goes crazy!

The just released Mac Pro from Apple just gone crazy! With up to 12 cores power, it's unbeatable by other company's stock computers. It says that it even has SSD (Solid State Drive) compatibility. Although, the price isn't that hot, 2500$ for a Quad-Core Mac Pro and 5000$ for a 12 Core Mac Pro. I mean, who will need a 12 Core computer?
The Street (same people who claimed 1.5 years of free service for the iPhone at launch), now claims that the white iPhone delay is caused by light leaking out the edges, sides and back of the white phone.

Their source says that it's because of the glass that Apple can't easily cover up the light leakage,
The company's not committing to any US carriers just yet (ahem), but LG is already puffing up its chest and talking big about its impending Windows Phone 7 release plans. To date, all we've had to go on was Microsoft's vow of seeing WP7 devices on store shelves before this holiday season, but now Ken Hong, an LG representative in Seoul, has offered a wee bit more insight regarding his company in particular.

Apple has started processing refunds for the iPhone 4 bumper cases to online Apple Store orders. Existing back-ordered bumper cases have also been processed for refund. We expect the process will continue over the next few days. Apple is also expected to provide a method for in-store purchasers to also receive a refund but has provided no details yet.

Apple announced last week that they would be providing free bumper cases to all iPhone 4 customers and providing refunds for those who have already purchased them. The bumper cases help alleviate the signal loss issues experienced by some on the iPhone 4.

Google warned us that the Nexus One was approaching the end of its days, but we've gotta admit, we didn't realize just how quickly that moment would come. Sure enough, Google's official online store for the phone now just shows an ominous message that "the Nexus One is no longer available for purchase directly" from the company, which means you're going to have to go through Vodafone, KT in South Korea, or hold out for the units that they plan on selling directly to registered developers. Needless to say, for the bulk of potential customers, the phone is all but history. So, on that note, Nexus One: for your straight-shooting stock Android ways and your unlocked radio, you'll be dearly missed -- and we hope your legacy lives on, even though your retail model does not.

After a while, I have finally managed to dual-boot my laptop with MAC OS X Snow Leopard and this time, with a working sound kext. WiFi still doesn't work on the Intel Wireless 1000 BGN Chipset but I still have a WiFi connection working with an external RT73 USB WiFi Adapter.
There are still no QE/CI kexts for the Intel 4500MHD Graphic Card but as you can see, I still have a native resolution running.

Working/Not Working status:

Intel Core2Duo T6600 CPU   -Working
Intel 4500MHD GPU   -Not Working, only Native Resolution
Conexant Audio Cx20583   -Working
4GB DDR2 1088Mhz Ram   -Working
USB Mount   -Working
Intel Wireless 1000 BGN WiFi   -Not Working
External RT73 USB WiFi Adapter   -Working

BMW has announced that it is to utilise the new iPod Out feature of the recently released iOS4 in its new cars, starting next year.

BMW were one of the first manufacturers to announce iPod integration with their vehicles, and now they look set to be one of the first manufacturers to take iPhone/iPod integration to the next level in 2011. The iPod Out integration provides an Apple-designed interface on the BMW’s built-in screen, and is a very iPod/Front Row style navigation system complete with album cover artwork and Genius Mixes.

They have produced a video (below) giving details and a sneak peak into how the iPod Out interface would look within BMW’s existing iDrive system. Very cool!

The Symbian Foundation has posted the first handful of home screen UI shots on its developer wiki recently showing redesigned widgets, app categories and search, pop-up menus, and a standard-issue numeric touchscreen keypad -- and unlike Nokia's concept videos from before, these are from a real emulator running real code. Nokia's expecting to use Symbian 4 in at least some of its devices by early 2011 -- and knowing how these guys like to go big with global roll-outs spanning tens or hundreds of millions of devices, this is a UI you might end up getting to know extremely well within a year or two. And hey, it looks pretty much like the iPhone (The status bar on the top and the page indicator at the bottom), it looks also pretty much like Android with the clock widget.

After arguing that all smartphones have the same antenna problem the iPhone 4 has, Apple has given a solution to the "non-problem". The one we asked for: Free bumpers or cases. Here are all the details.
• If you have an iPhone 4, you can get a free bumper from Apple.
• If you want another case—or Apple's bumpers are out of stock—you can pick another one from some options.
• If you already bought another case, you get a refund on that.
• The offer applies until September 30. At that time, they will "examine" the situation again (hmmm, does that mean an updated iPhone then?).
It's good to see that Apple has acknowledged the problem and they are providing a free fix. Sure, it is a bandaid and the problem—which, unlike Apple says, is not common in other phones, like my iPhone 3G—still exists. But it's something.
We will see what happens in September. Until then, enjoy your free cases.

New Apple MacBook Air 11.6"

Digitimes reports that Apple is preparing a major update for the second half of 2010. The first is said to be an 11.6-inch MacBook Air featuring a Intel Core i-series ultra-low voltage processor. An 11.6-inch display would be notably smaller than the current 13.3-inch screen found in the current MacBook Air.
Kuo, citing discussions with upstream component makers, noted that the 11.6-inch MacBook Air will feature an even slimmer and lighter design than the previous-generation models and the technologies used for the design and concept are expected to be broadly used in the company's other product lines to boost their competitiveness.
A major update, the MacBook Air, but we must not forget about the iPod Touch 4G too!
Check out the iPod Touch 4G news.

Digitimes added some details to the new iPod Touch that is expected this fall.

The new iPod touch will feature a 3-megapixel camera, capable of both photo and video recording, and will adopt Apple's latest A4 processor, which is also used in the iPhone 4.
The new iPod Touch was expected to share the A4 processor found in the iPhone 4 and iPad, but the exact camera specs have been up for debate.

The official iPad 3.2.1 Firmware has been released. You can now upgrade you iPad to the newest firmware.
Note: Don't upgrade if your not too sure to lose your Jailbreak since it's not yet confirmed if the Jailbreak works on this new firmware.

What's new on the 3.2.1 Firmware?

  • Fixed some Wi-Fi Connectivity issues
  • Fixed some issues with watching videos
  • Fixed the single-page PDF views

Earlier this week, workers excavating the site of the future World Trade Center unearthed an ancient wooden plank. Then another. Then an entire row, comprising what remains of a 30-foot long wood-hulled vessel, over 200 years old.
It's the biggest find of its kind since 1982, when an 18th-century cargo ship was discovered on Water Street. According to the NY Times, this new boat measures a full 30 feet long, and had been at rest 20 to 30 feet below the surface.

The excavation site—which is near, but not on the same ground as the original WTC—is apparently close to where Lindsey's Wharf and and Lake's Wharf used to be. They're currently trying to take as many measurements as they can before sun exposure degrades the remains inexorably. And while it doesn't appear to be the dubloon-carrying kind, it couldn't hurt to warm up those metal detectors.

So everyone is wondering, how to capture a screenshot on Android OS. It's fairly simple like iPhone OS, but you'll need to have Android Market enabled on your Android Device to take a screenshot.

1st step: Go to your Android Market

2nd step: Search for the Shot Me applcation, once you find it, install it.

3rd step: Enjoy taking screenshots by shaking your phone. Or, you can shout on your microphone to take one. (Default setting is to shake your phone).

Please note: It's not clear if you need to root your device to do this but you can always give it a shot!

Enjoy taking screenshots :)
Some HTC HD2 hackers has not "hacked" the HD2 to run Android Froyo or Sense with 2.1. Everything seems to be working top shape. Even Youtube, 3D Games, multi-touch, accelerometer and best of all, no lags!

The iPhone Dev Team member Planetbeing is now showing off to the world a picture of his AT&T iPhone 4 running on Canada's Bell Network. Please note: Currently, the iPhone 4 is not offered in Canada so. But actually, we don't have any release date but we'll keep you guys updated!

We can notice the Bell Carrier on the top left corner of the phone.
Strangely, Microsoft's old Windows XP will now live forever. Windows 7 Ultimate users and Windows 7 Professional users will still have an option to choose a downgrade to Windows XP. For the Windows 7 Professional buyers, they will have the chance to downgrade to Windows XP for the next 10 years and for Windows 7 Ultimate users, they will have the chance to downgrade to Windows XP for the next 5 years. But seriously, who would like to have Windows XP in 2015?

Impressing isn't it! Looks almost the same as the real one!

Fake White iPhone 4 features a 3.5 inch Touch Screen at 480x320 pixels.

WOW! The fake iPhone 4 even includes an Apple Logo on the back.

It has a 460Mhz Processor with 128Mb of ram. Not bad for a fake iPhone. It also has Wifi and GPS built-in.
App Inventor now allows you to build your own Android Applications. With App Inventor, you can even use the device's motion sensors to control your app. It's pretty much like Xcode for iPhones but this one is way simpler. To use App Inventor, you do not need to be a developer. App Inventor requires NO programming knowledge. This is because instead of writing code, you visually design the way the app looks and use blocks to specify the app's behavior.

They have created pretty much every "blocks" you need to make your app the hottest around. For example, there are blocks that stores information, blocks that repeat actions, blocks that performs an action, blocks that blocks an action, etc. There are even blocks that communicates with Twitter!

Some rumors says that the iPod Touch 4G will have a 5 Mega Pixel camera like the iPhone 4. But after all, is it possible? Some tests reveals that it is not possible with the iPod Touch's current design. (But I'm still pretty sure they will change the design.)

Check out this picture here:
On the left, we have the iPod Touch and on the right, we have the iPhone 4's camera component.
PS: The iPod Touch is "over-sized" with Photoshop to show you the size it needs.

Here are some size stats:
- iPhone 4 5MP (back) camera: 6.5mm
- iPhone 4 FaceTime (front) camera: 2.5mm
- iPod touch (Current 3rd Gen. Model) width (at edges): 6mm

We can be pretty sure the FaceTime feature will be in the iPod Touch 4G but for the 5MP camera, we doubt it if they don't change the design. Maybe a 3 Megapixel will be in the iPod Touch 4G instead or it will be probably like the current iPod Nano, featuring a video recording camera only.
I'm not saying there were aliens flying whatever buzzed Hangzhou airspace earlier today. But there's no question that it was an object, that it was flying, and that it's as yet unidentified. And yet it looks awfully familiar up close:
After the UFO was detected at 9pm, dozens of inbound flights to nearby Xiaoshan Airport were diverted. Explanations have so far ranged from "sunlight reflected from planes" to military trials to, but there's no official statement yet from the Chinese government.
Or is it just this:

This handy iPhone 4 decal does double duty as an antenna-protecting film and a glow stick. You know, just in case that reception issue persists, you chuck it into a dark closet and need to find it in a pinch. These glow-in-the-dark vinyl decals are available at Etsy for only $9.

As we all know, the new iPhone from Apple has the world's best smartphone display but, how "best" is it? We are about to uncover this for you. On the iPhone 4, not only are the colors and blacks deep and rich, but you simply cannot see pixels on the screen compare to the iPhone 3GS  or the iPhone 3G. Text rendering is incredibly clear and clean on the iPhone 4. Because Apple is using IPS and LED technology for its screen, the iPhone 4 is mercifully visible in full sunlight, and performance in low light and at extreme viewing angles are favorable. Check out these two comparative pictures below, it does reveals a lot!

Here we have the iPhone 3GS on the left and the iPhone 4 on the right.

Here we have the HTC's/Google's Nexus One on the top and the iPhone 4 on the bottom.

Here is another close shot of the iPhone 4

Major UK retailer, John Lewis, believes that there'll be a substantial refresh of the iPod Touch this coming September 2010. Speaking at the company's Christmas look-ahead event in London, Rob Hennessey, buyer audio and telecomms, outlined the major features that the device is likely to carry, based on information given to him from suppliers.

The main new add-ons will be an improved 5-megapixel camera with a flash, that can shoot HD video, the adoption of the same sort of accelerometer and gyroscope found in the iPhone 4, and FaceTime calling over Wi-Fi.

He also believes that Apple will very much target the new iPod as a multimedia device for kids and teenagers.
His entire predictions are as follows (as per the presentation):

- Likely to be sold as a multimedia device targeted at youth / kids

- Improved 5-megapixel camera so can shoot HD video / upload to YouTube. And flash so it can take photos in the dark

- Social networking

- Accelerometer and gyroscope, significant in developing the gaming credentials of the product

- FaceTime calling over Wi-Fi, so can communicate with friends for zero cost

Naturally, there's been no announcements from Apple, but considering that John Lewis' electronics department is important to the iPod market in the UK, there's no reason to doubt any of this info.

Want to chat with random strangers via your iPhone 4's front-facing camera, and expose yourself to every hope and horror that entails? Well, yeah, there's an app for that. iChatr brings you Chatroulette on iPhone 4 and hopefully iPod Touch 4G if the "Font-facing camera" rumour is correct.

Opera caught us by surprise by including faster JavaScript handling than Chrome in its 10.5 browser. In 10.6, there's even faster performance, plus greater HTML5 and WebM video support, a streamlined menu button, and AVG malware protection built-in.

Opera remains a fast-loading, quick-moving browser. With the latest release, there's also a collaboration with anti-malware provider AVG to prevent real-time protection against phishing, nefarious software, and other security breaches.

Opera 10.6 is a free download for Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.  Get it at www.opera.com
If you use multiple thumb drives on a regular basis, the TipMonkies weblog has an easy way to automatically assign a custom icon to each one when it's plugged into your PC.  How to do it? Here is the simple, fool-proof tutorial:

Simply find an .ico file you want to use (favicons from websites work nicely).... name your .ico file autorun.ico and put it in the root of your drive then create a text file called autorun.inf in the root of the drive and put this inside it:

[autorun]
icon=autorun.ico
If you want custom flash drive icons, here you go! Visit www.iconspedia.com
They have all kinds of icons perfect for this purpose.

Works on a Windows computer only. Mac not tested.
Is this the honest-to-goodness iPhone 4 jailbreak we've been waiting for, or just another userland JB? It's hard to say from here... but either way, don't expect Geohot to release it into the wild. In a mildly jaded blog post, the original iPhone hacker makes it clear that whatever he did here was for his own amusement, and judging by the title of that entry ("Meh") the whole breaking-and-entering bit isn't giving him quite the same chuckles it used to. That's a shame, but we hear the iPhone Dev Team is making progress apace, so let's leave Geohot to tackle one of his other promised hacks, mmmkay?

iPhone 4 FAIL. Catches fire!

iPhone 4 Catches Fire, Burns Owner's Hand!! Worst then China's iPhone copies!
A bran new iPhone 4 recently caught on fire when being hooked up to a computer via its Apple-provided USB cord. The phone was fried and its owner's hand singed.

According to a source inside AT&T, the charring resulted from a faulty USB port and not human error:
Apple did confirm to our AT&T connection that this did appear to be a defective USB port and not some sort of user error. Our source went onto say that the phone bezel was extremely hot (obviously), and it slightly burned the customers hand. The USB port in the phone was slightly melted and the cord was badly melted (as is apparent in the pictures).

WOW! If this happens to the iPod Touch 4G.......

AppleCare officially confirmed that the next software update that is coming will not solve the reception and data transmission problem on the iPhone 4. All they give is 2 methods to make your iPhone 4 work correctly:

1- Buy a case

2- Hold your iPhone 4 differently

I was secretly hoping that the software update would magically fix the iPhone 4's antenna design problem, because I really wanted to buy what otherwise is an great gadget. Unfortunately, the cosmetic change to the bar display—which promises to show the actual signal strength—will not fix the transmission/reception problem that countless iPhone 4 users are experiencing.

• The incoming software update will not fix this antenna problem, only change the way the phone displays the available signal, make it more accurate.

If you want Apple to solve this problem for free, sign the petition here and pass it around to other iPhone 4 users.
